WELCOME . . .
For over 100 years, Kearns & Duffy Law Firm has been providing quality service to clients in the following areas:
Personal Injury: includes car accidents, motorcycle accidents, dog bite attacks, injuries caused by defective products, slip and fall and other premises liability injuries, workers' compensation claims and wrongful death claims.
Real Estate: includes all the legal aspects of buying and selling a home, such as the contract, title work and the closing.
Municipal Court: includes motor vehicle offenses, driving while intoxicated and minor drug offenses.
Insurance Defense: Kearns & Duffy P.C. performs insurance defense services on general liability and motor vehicle liability for two carriers.
Subrogation: Subrogation is the substitution of one person, or entity, in place of another person or entity, with reference to a lawful claim, demand or right, so that he who is substituted succeeds to the rights of the other in relation to the debt or claim, and its rights, remedies and securities. For example, insurance companies, guarantors and bonding companies generally have the right to step into the shoes of the party whom they compensate and sue any party whom the compensated party should have sued.
Wills & Estates: An estate plan is your map of where your assets will go after your death.
Worker’s Compensation: If you are injured or hurt in the course of your employment, the general rule is that you may not bring an action for negligence or otherwise sue your employer. You may, however, bring an action against a third party to recover for your injury or damage. Your case against your employer is limited by law to a claim for worker’s compensation. That means that you may be compensated whether it is the fault of your employer or not.
Zoning and Land Use: This page is under construction.
